WELLINGTON ELECTRICITY (NZ) - RFP FOR ELECTRIC UTILITY MANAGEMENT SERVICES

Client: Siemens USA / Wellington (NZ) Electricity Request For Proposal relating to the provision of Asset Management and Field Service Management services.
Type: Provide experience, advice and direct input to Siemens USA in the development of an RFP response for the provision of Electric Utility Management Services to Wellington (NZ) Electricity (WE).



Description:

Review the RFP provided by WE and prepare responses in conjunction with Siemens NZ and Australia staff on behalf of Siemens USA. Benchmark the current operations of Siemens NZ in servicing the existing contract with WE and identify opportunities for improvement for incorporation into the RFI response.

Key aspects of the role included:

  • Review the WE RFP documentation and develop responses for those areas / issues where Siemens required support.
  • Benchmarking the overall performance of the existing Siemens team in providing utility services to WE under the current contract.
  • Identify improvement opportunities for inclusion in the RFP response.
  • Sourcing external electricity subject matter experts in areas such as Computerised Maintenance Management Systems, etc to provide detailed input to the structure of the RFP
  • Provide strategic input to the structure of the RFP response so that Siemens could add more value in areas such as Asset Management.
