Jonathan has over 30 years experience in Surveying, Civil Construction, Business and Local Government Administration. He has been involved in consulting surveying, development applications, subdivision design, civil estimating, site supervision of civil construction work, arbitrating building and construction contractual disputes, adjudicating building and construction payment disputes, local government administration and reporting on the commerciality of proposed contract arrangements and the outcome of completed contracts.

Jonathan currently practices in bid reviews, commercial and contractual advice, claims advice including cost control on existing contracts, claims preparation, adjudication applications, preparation of payment claim schedules and adjudication application responses in the adjudication of payment disputes and, in the arbitration of commercial contract disputes and is available for dispute resolution services (all manners of ADR) to help finalise projects. During his time in local government, Jonathan was chairman of the Regional Construction & Maintenance group charged with seeking collaborative construction and maintenance solutions between the nineteen councils in south-east Queensland.

As a consultant Jonathan provides assistance and advice to clients in project delivery including, risk identification and management, project delivery models, commercial and contractual advice, management structures and control systems.
