The Challenge:
- The scope covered the copper concentrator and smelter, including IsaSmelt, Mount Isa Mine, Mount Margaret Mine, Monakoff Mine and the Ernest Henry mine (open cut and underground) and concentrator
- Assessing the present capital worth of ageing assets commissioned over the full historical spectrum of the Mount Isa and Ernest Henry operations in a compressed time frame with imperfect capital and maintenance data required the full depth of Flagstaff’s knowledge and experience
The Outcome:
Report submitted met the required deadline and, notwithstanding some surprise assessments, accepted and acknowledged by Glencore as competent and delivering satisfaction of the objective
