Description:

Planning, engineering and constructability advice and input into design, construction and delivery implications in the preliminary design development phase prior to going to the market with a RFP for this complex station building and platform interchange upgrade, while maintaining an operational station environment.

Key aspects of the role included:

  • Foundation and concourse construction methodologies within an operating rail environment with various occupations, staging and planning assessments.
  • Investigation of modular type construction opportunities to reduce on-site works, especially with irregular and complex shapes in various materials.
  • Heritage overlay consideration, stakeholder and rail operator consultation, maintaining access to MURLA tunnels and maintenance roads.
