- Prepare contract documents for the engagement of Bechtel as EPCM contractor for the Caval Ridge mine development.

The Challenge:
- Engage with the project director and the area managers for the project to fully understand the contract objectives
- Capture and define the entire scope of the works to be performed by the EPCM contractor
- Draft documents giving BMA rights to interrogate when they require
- Ensure commonality and consistency with other BMA contracts to facilitate personnel transfers and minimise familiarisation requirements
- Complete the assignment within the required schedule and for the pre-determined and agreed budget
The Outcome:
Contract form derived to balance between corporate standardisation and particular project requirements
Budget and schedule achieved
Full suite of interviews conducted with the contract’s future users and where possible, their requirements were captured; where not the reasons were explained
